Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA)
This is the state agency that is responsible for managing and conserving all Uganda’s wildlife for the present and future generations of Ugandans and the whole world. UWA is mandated through the laws of Uganda to ensure sustainable management of wildlife resources and supervise wildlife activities in Uganda both within and outside the protected areas. This is also made possible with collaboration of many conservancy and tour operators in the country of which Ujambo Boots safaris forms a core unit. Currently, UWA manages 10 national parks, 12 wildlife reserves, 5 community wildlife management areas and 13 wildlife sanctuaries. All this biodiversity has seen the country’s tourism industry grow over the years with also more investors being attracted in the sector.
