Our 7-day Fly In safari brings you the highlights of Murchison Falls National Park. Expect to see the animals of the savannahs (lion, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, hippo, and leopard) and primate species, including chimps!!!

This luxurious mobile tented safari starts with camping at the shores of Africa’s largest & freshwater lake “lake Victoria” then flies far northeast to Kidepo valley national park “True African Wilderness”, one of the most dry, hot isolated yet spectacular and virgin national park on the African continent. It continues to Murchison falls national park in the northwest, a park with one of the world’s most powerful falls also hosting a number of wildlife & birdlife.  With this fully serviced mobile safari you get to camp in the heart of the parks with a savannah landscape magnificent views.

DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 1:- Entebbe area, Camping

Upon your arrival in Uganda at Entebbe airport, your guide will pick you and give a full safari briefing and take you shopping for your safari drinks then head to your designated campsite.  Depending on your flight details, the first highlight of your safari will be a sunset boat cruise or nature walk. Camping will be Botanical gardens Entebbe at a camp-site with permanent ablutions.

DAY 2: Fly to Kidepo

After your breakfast at the forestry shores of Lake Victoria, you will be transferred to Entebbe airport where you will board a light aircraft that will take you on a short flight to one of the most remotest regions of Uganda “Kidepo Valley National Park”.  Have lunch at the designated private campsite after you check in and find yourself up close with animals even before you go on a game drive in the late afternoon. Late Afternoon Game Drive through the Narus Valley where you will sight herds of buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, zebras and hopefully some lions, leopard and the elusive cheetah.  Besides that there are the many birds you might find along the way.  This is a slow drive so that you do not miss anything, stopping wherever you desire to take pictures of the fabulous wildlife and birds, fauna and flora along the way. Return to the campsite for dinner to the sights and sounds of the Kidepo Valley around you.

DAY 3: Game drive & Karamojong people Cultural Trail

Arise to a fabulous breakfast and a cup of coffee or tea at the campsite while you peruse the landscape and wildlife around you in the remotest corner of Uganda and yet it is in class and style. The perfect African dream vacation. An early Morning Game Drive through the Narus Valley where you will sight massive herds of buffalos are passing the grassland. “Bullbull” the elephant, is a daily visitor at your lodge/camp. Also, expect to see some lions, leopard and the elusive cheetah. Even zebras, giraffes, waterbucks, monkeys and jackals are coming very close to the huts. This park is a very special one in East Africa. – In the middle of the bush you will have the right Africa feeling.

Besides that there are the many birds you might find along the way. This is a slow drive so that you do not miss anything, stopping wherever you desire to take pictures of the fabulous wildlife and birds, fauna and flora along the way. Most likely the only thing you will find is wildlife, birds and scenery and no people in this remote part of Uganda.
Return to your campsite for a delightful lunch. As you are relaxing in the middle of truly African time, check out our wilderness library and enjoy luxury comfort in remote Africa.

In the afternoon, we go for a walking safari with a ranger & visit a local village of karamojong people, a cultural trail. Learn about their ways of life, culture, food e.t.c. This tribe is similar to their maasai cousins in Kenya & Tanzania.   Return to your campsite for dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: Kidepo to Murchison falls national park.

This is our last day in Kidepo, we get to wake up with the sunrise, enjoy our bush breakfast in this savannah grassland whilst watching the camp assistants dismantle the tents and pack them for our next destination then do a game drive en-route as we embark on a 6hrs drive far northeast of the country to Kidepo Valley national park. This is not an ordinary journey, it’s a rewarding drive which involves driving through the lush countryside dotted by amazing landscapes as we head into Murchison Falls National Park home to the world’s greatest waterfall. We arrive at our designated campsite in time for our bush lunch, relaxation and later in the evening we embark on an evening game drive across Murchison Falls National Park to stand a chance of sighting some game this park has to offer. Later return to campsite for dinner & overnight.

DAY 5: Game Drive and Nile Boat Safari

Early morning breakfast and off you are for another game drive across the savannah, along Lake Albert Delta, abundant wildlife as you move slowly as the sun rises. Welcome to Africa. What you are sensing and feeling, seeing around you cannot be replicated anywhere else in the world, this is Murchison Falls with its birds, lions, leopards, elephants, hippos, buffaloes, warthogs, giraffes, humorous appearing warthogs. This is Africa and you are on safari in the heart of it – Uganda

After lunch it is one of the highlights of your Murchison Falls National Park Safari, the boat launch trip up the Nile River. Slowly moving along the river bank viewing crocodiles, an abundance of hippos, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, lots of birds including the fish eagle, storks and so much more. The boat moves gently up the river and stay on the left hand side so that you see most of the animals who come to the river. Herds of Elephants cooling off, Hippopotamus frolicking, crocodiles just dozing in the African sun.

Close by there is a bank on the river filled with Nile crocodiles basking in the afternoon sun, just down from there you can see a group of hippos frolicking in the water of the Nile. There are literally thousands of hippopotamus to be found here, birds in abundance.

The journey down river slowly begins and more opportunity for viewing animals before you return to your tented camp for dinner and an evening of rest and relaxations, don't miss spotting some storks, eagles, egrets and many other birds, there are also a variety of primates to be found on the shores. Enjoy the Nile & in the evening return to your campsite for dinner & overnight.

DAY 6: Visit Top of the Falls & fly back to Entebbe

This is our last day in Murchison Falls National Park, we get to wake up with the sunrise, enjoy our bush breakfast in this savannah grassland whilst watching the camp assistants dismantle the tents and pack them. After breakfast transfer to Murchison Falls for another opportunity to sight the most powerful waterfalls on the planet earth from the top. View Victoria Nile plunging its self 45m over the remnant rift valley wall, creating the dramatic Murchison Falls. At Murchison Falls, the Nile squeezes through an 8m wide gorge and plunges with a thunderous roar into the “Devil Cauldon”. After your guide will transfer your to the airstrip for a light aircraft to Entebbe Airport. On arrival your guide will transfer you to the designated campsite for relaxation and lunch. In the late afternoon, embark on a nature walk in Botanical and sunset cruise on Lake Victoria. Retreat back to the campsite for dinner and overnight.

DAY 7: Walking safari to Entebbe Airport

This is our last day on the safari and we get to do a walking safari in Entebbe as you do your shopping whilst sighting the city. Later we travel to Entebbe airport depending on your flight details!
