This 13 days of wild game and falls mobile tented safari starts with camping at the shores of Africa’s largest & freshwater lake “lake Victoria” then it takes you through Murchison falls national park in the northwest, a park with one of the world’s most powerful falls also hosting a number of wildlife & birdlife.

It continues far northeast to Kidepo valley national park, one of the most isolated national parks on the African continent. With this mobile safari you get to camp in the heart of the park with a savannah landscape that extends far beyond the gazette areas towards the mountain ranges.

This safari provides you with close encounters with pure game in it’s natural habitat.  The safari doesn’t stop here, it will also take you through the second largest conservation area after Murchison falls national park called  Pian Upe wildlife reserve.

The name of this reserve comes from the Karamajong local dialect & it means “Friendly Enemy”.

Pian Upe reserve is home to a wide diversity of wildlife like zebras, greater kudu, dik dik, Rothschild giraffe, lions, roan antelope, leopards to name a few. Pian Upe is also home to enormous rock pythons, venomous puff adders, a diversity of birdlife e.t.c.

The safari still continues to Eastern Uganda in Kapchorwa to also gain another insight of three waterfalls called ‘Sipi Falls’. The Sipi Falls area is the starting point for many hikes up Mt. Elgon. Hike around the falls offer stunning views of Karamoja plains, Lake Kyoga & the slopes of Mt. Elgon. Abseiling on the main water fall is one activity one should not miss out.

DAY 1:- Entebbe area, Camping

Upon your arrival in Uganda at Entebbe airport, your guide will pick you and give a full safari briefing and take you shopping for your safari drinks then head to your designated campsite.  Depending on your flight details, the first highlight of your safari will be a sunset boat cruise or nature walk. Camping will be Botanical gardens Entebbe at a camp-site with permanent ablutions.

DAY 2:- Entebbe to Murchison falls National park via Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Wake up early in the morning & grab your first forest breakfast at the camp then embark on a 6hours drive to Murchison falls with a en-route stop over at Zziwa for Rhino tracking. Take a guided nature walk to track the white Rhinos. This ranch is the proud home of the only wild rhinos and the only place where you will be able to rhinos in the wild in Uganda. After rhino trekking return for a picnic lunch in the home of rhino and then proceed with your journey to Murchison falls national park & visit the top of falls. Embark on a walk along the most powerful falls on the African soil in order to gain close scenic views of Murchison falls. Later head to your private camping grounds with bush ablutions for dinner & overnight.

DAY 3:- Nile delta & White Nile safari boat cruises & night game drive

Early in the morning have a Nile breakfast listening to the Nile squeezing through an 8m wide gorge and plunges with a thunderous roar into the “Devil’s Cauldron” and then embark on a drive to the jetty for a Nile delta cruise for about 2-3hrs.

The Victoria Nile delta is a 20km voyage downstream from Paraa and is home to rare wetland birds including shoebill & papyrus endemic species. The boat will leave you around the delta point & your guide will transfer you to your designated private campsite with bush ablutions for lunch and in the afternoon embark on a drive to the jetty for a white Nile safari boat cruise to the bottom of the falls. . This 2-3hrs boat cruise to the bottom of Murchison falls reveals plenty of wildlife such as hippos, Nile crocodiles & water birds along the river banks to name a few.

Later return to your campsite with game drive en-route for dinner & night game drive. This 2hrs night game drive is one of the rewarding game drives to try out. A lot of night wildlife is exposed to you for viewing like the bush bucks, lions, the night jars, kobs to name a few then after return to your campsite for overnight.

DAY 4:- Game drives

An early morning call from the one of the camp assistant will get up before the sunrise. Grab yourself an early morning bush breakfast at the camp and get ready for a half day game viewing on the northern part of the park. Exploring this largest & oldest national park in Uganda is a breathtaking experience. Plenty of game will be spotted on your game drive among which are oribi, Rothschild giraffe, Elephant, warthog, reedbuck, Lion among others. Return to camp for bush lunch & relaxation. In the late afternoon embark on another game drive to stand another chance to sight more game in it’s natural habitat and later in the evening return to the campsite for dinner, relaxation and overnight.

DAY 5:- Murchison falls to Kidepo national park

This is our last day in Murchison falls, we get to wake up with the sunrise, enjoy our bush breakfast in this savannah grassland whilst watching the camp assistants dismantle the tents and pack them for our next destination then do a game drive en-route as we embark on a 6hrs drive far northeast of the country to Kidepo Valley national park. This is not an ordinary journey, it’s a rewarding drive which involves driving through the lush countryside dotted by amazing landscapes as we head into the mountainous terrain before reaching Kidepo Valley national park. We arrive at our designated campsite in time for our bush lunch, relaxation and later in the evening we embark on an evening game drive across Kidepo Valley national park to stand a chance of sighting some game this isolated park has to offer. Later return to campsite for dinner & overnight.

DAY 6:- Game drives

This is going to be a long day of wilderness. Rise up before sunrise, grab yourself a heavy breakfast & go for an early morning game drive for half day. We get to feel and enjoy the diverse ecosystem of this park and the wilderness it holds. A game drive in this park will grant you another opportunity to view the great flora & fauna the park holds and stand another chance to sight elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, dik dik, herds of buffaloes,hills, dry river beds to name a few. Then in the afternoon return to the campsite for some relaxation & bush lunch. In the evening head back into the wild for an evening game drive at the Narus valley which attracts a number of game. After this outstanding game drive return to the campsite for dinner, relaxation and overnight.

DAY 7:- Game drive & Nature walk.

Wake up early in the morning & grab yourself a heavy breakfast at the camp then embark on another half day wilderness game drive whilst watching the sunrise over the Morongole mountains across Kidepo Valley national park. Look out for some of the best game in Africa that are inhabited here. This game drive will give us another chance to visit the Narus valley in the search of elands, buffaloes, giraffes, lions to name a few. Later return to the campsite for bush  lunch & embark on scenic nature walk which will lead you to the Karamajong communities in their manyatta huts whilst watching game on foot. This is a captivating nature walk for those who enjoy looking into the African culture. Discover the unique culture of these people just outside Kidepo Valley National Park. Their main livelihood is keeping livestock & the social & cultural importance will be explained as you take on a guided walk to the traditional homesteads. Learn how the local people make their distinctive beads & also get cattle enclosures. Return in the evening for your dinner, relaxation & overnight at the campsite.

DAY 8:- Kidepo Valley national park to Pian Upe

Today after your last bush breakfast in Kidepo Valley national park, embark on a 6hrs drive to Pian Upe wildlife reserve for another wildlife & nature walk encounters. You will arrive at the reserve in time for you bush lunch at the campsite. Pian Upe is one of the best kept secrets in Uganda with so much to offer to. Expect to sight roan antelopes, dik dik, savannah birds, cheetahs, Ostriches, buffaloes, Rothschild to name a few. On arrival after your bush lunch embark on a nature walk to get close encounter of game on foot and also pass through a cultural community to sight & learn the ways of people that live here. In the evening  return to the campsite for dinner, relaxation & overnight.

DAY 9:- Game drives

Wake up in the middle of the action before sunsrise, have yourself a bush breakfast & embark on morning game to stand a chance of sighting roan antelopes, buffaloes, patas monkeys also the big cats like cheetahs on a hunt, Jackals, Hyenas, Uganda kobs, aardvart, velvet monkeys to name a few. For bird lovers Pian Upe is a birder’s paradise hosting about 240 bird species among which are the Ostriches making it second to Queen Elizabeth national park.  Return to the campsite for bush lunch, relaxation and late in the evening head back to the wild for an astonishing game drive to sight more game. You will return to the campsite for dinner, relaxation & overnight.

DAY 10:- Pian Upe to Sipi Falls

On this day you exist the green belt of the Karamoja region. You wake up with the rise of the sun over the Karamoja plains, have your last bush breakfast as you watch the camp assistants dismantle the tents & embark on 3hrs drives to Sipi Falls area for your Sipi Falls experience. Arrive right in time for your lunch at your designated campsite and in the afternoon set off for hiking around Sipi Falls area. This activity is about 8km walk and it takes about 3hrs to sight all the 3 falls but it all depends on individual fitness & pace. Return in the evening at your campsite for relaxation, dinner & overnight.

DAY 11:-  Coffee trail & Abseiling/ Rock climbing

Wake up with stunning views of one of Sipi Falls, grab your self heavy breakfast & embark on a coffee safari to visit the coffee plantations on the lower slopes of Mt. Elgon. Trace the story of the best coffee in the world. The coffee in this area is Arabic coffee & grows within altitudes 1600m & 1900m. Meet local farmers to visit their plantation & learn the coffee is harvested, processed before shipment. Finally learn the traditional art of roasting your own coffee & enjoy your own cup. Return to the campsite in the afternoon for your lunch & after head out foe abseiling on the main water falls. This adventurous activity is worthy a shot for adventure lovers looking for a rush of adrenaline from the top of the 100m high Sipi Falls or opt climbing on the numerous high cliffs. The close proximity of the water fall & panoramic views provide a once in lifetime experience. You will be guided by professionally trained guides and equipments for use known as rappels are provide for your safety. Return in the evening for relaxation, dinner & overnight.

DAY 12:- Sipi Falls to Kampala.

You wake up with rise of the sun with stunning views of Karamoja plains, Lake Kyoga & the slopes of Mt. Elgon, Have your breakfast whilst watching the camp assistants dismantle the tents & embark on 6hrs drives to Kampala with lunch en-route and arrive at the hotel in the late afternoon depending on the traffic for dinner & overnight.

DAY 13:- Kampala walking safari

This is our last day on the safari and we get to do a walking safari in Kampala as you do your shopping whilst sighting the city. Later we travel to Entebbe airport depending on your flight details!
